Ultraviolet (UV) water purification uses light to neutralize microorganisms as water passes through the chamber. It's a chemical-free way to address biological concerns, often added to whole-house systems for Merced homes — especially those on private wells.

Biological concerns in water — bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms — can't be seen, tasted, or smelled. Merced is a regional hub and the county seat of Merced County, and water conditions here can vary by neighborhood, water source, and the age of local plumbing. For homes on private wells or anyone concerned about biological water quality, UV purification offers a chemical-free layer of protection.
Biological or microbial concerns in your water
A private well where bacterial testing is a concern
Wanting whole-home protection without chemicals
Peace of mind for drinking and household water
What UV Water Purification Does
A UV water purification system exposes water to ultraviolet light as it passes through a chamber, neutralizing microorganisms without adding chemicals. UV doesn't address chemical contaminants, hardness, or sediment — it's typically paired with filtration or softening. For Merced homes, we recommend UV based on your water test and whether biological concerns are present.
What it may help with
Biological and microbial concerns in water
Well water where bacterial testing is a concern
Whole-home protection without chemicals
What it doesn’t solve
Chemical contaminants, hardness, or sediment (pair with the right filter)
Improving taste or odor on its own

We had such a great experience with this company! From the beginning, they were responsive, reasonably priced, and able to get us scheduled right away. The crew finished everything in just a few hours and did a fantastic job.
I was especially impressed with how much they seem to genuinely care about their customers. The owner stopped by during the job to personally thank us for choosing them. We also mentioned a plumbing issue with our sink that had been bothering us for a long time, and without hesitation, he had one of his plumbers come over to help us with it.
It's been a couple of months now and everything they installed is still working perfectly. Even better, the owner recently followed up with us just to make sure we were still happy and everything was working as it should.
You just don't see that level of service and follow-through very often anymore. We're extremely happy we chose them and would definitely use them again!

Amazing experience from start to finish! They came out the very next day, were reasonably priced, and had everything completed in about four hours. The entire crew was professional, friendly, and great to work with.
What really stood out was the customer service. The owner personally came by to shake my hand and thank me for the business. While they were working, I happened to mention a problem I'd been having with my sink for almost a year, and he immediately sent one of his plumbers over to take a look!
It's now been a couple of months since the work was completed, and everything is still working great. The owner even reached out personally to check in and make sure everything was still 100%. That kind of follow-up and customer service is hard to find these days.
Great work, fair pricing, great people, and truly amazing customer service. I would absolutely recommend them!

One of the best investments we made for our home. It's a night and day difference in our water quality! John and his guys were awesome to work with! They were professional, efficient, punctual, and educated us on our water; everything you want when making an investment. Our only regret was not reaching out to John sooner. Definitely recommend John!
