1.Acceptance of These Terms
By scheduling a free water quality test, requesting a quote, purchasing a system, or accepting financing through Generation H2O ("we," "us," "our"), you ("you," "the customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not schedule a test or proceed with any purchase. These terms apply to all services we provide, including on-site water testing, whole-home filtration, water softeners, reverse osmosis systems, well water treatment, installation, and ongoing maintenance.
2.Free Water Quality Test
Our on-site water quality test is provided at no cost and with no obligation to purchase. The test is performed at your kitchen tap and checks for common indicators including hardness, total dissolved solids (TDS), pH, chlorine, iron, and other visible contaminants. An adult must be present and we must have access to your tap. Test results are informational and represent a snapshot of your water on the day of testing; water conditions can change over time. The free test does not constitute a guarantee that any specific contaminant is absent, and we may recommend a follow-up or laboratory analysis for contaminants not detectable on-site.
3.The Free 6-Stage Reverse Osmosis Offer
Customers who complete a scheduled on-site water test receive a free 6-Stage Reverse Osmosis drinking water system, including standard installation, at no charge. This offer is a bonus for completing the test and applies to residential customers within our standard service area. The system and installation carry no hidden setup fees. Offer is limited to one system per household and is subject to system availability. Non-standard installations (e.g., custom runs to a refrigerator or ice maker, additional faucets, or unusual plumbing configurations) may incur an additional charge, which will be disclosed and agreed upon in writing before any work begins. The offer may not be combined with other promotions unless explicitly stated.
4.Quotes, Pricing & Payment
Every home's water is different, so system pricing depends on your test results and the equipment that fits your needs. After your free test, we provide a clear, upfront, itemized price — no guessing and no hidden fees. Unless you have signed a separate financing agreement, payment terms (deposits, balances, and accepted methods) will be stated on your written quote and must be agreed before installation is scheduled. Any deposit is applied toward your total purchase price.
5.Financing & Credit Approval (AP2)
For customers who choose to finance their system, financing is subject to credit approval through our third-party financing partner. "AP2" refers to the automated approval process used to evaluate your application. Approval is not guaranteed and is determined solely by the financing provider based on your credit profile, income, and other factors. By submitting a financing application, you authorize the provider to obtain your credit report and verify the information you provide. If you are not approved, you may still purchase your system outright under the payment terms on your quote. Approved financing terms — including APR, term length, monthly payment, and total cost — are set by the financing provider and will be disclosed in your financing agreement before you sign. Generation H2O does not control financing decisions or terms and is not the lender. You should review your financing agreement carefully, as it is a separate contract between you and the lender.
6.30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We stand behind our work. If, within 30 days of installation, the specific water conditions we agreed to treat (as documented on your test results and quote) have not improved, contact us and we will return to re-test and either adjust or repair the system to make it right. If we are unable to improve the agreed-upon conditions, we will refund your purchase price in accordance with this guarantee. The guarantee covers the water conditions specifically identified and agreed to at the time of sale — it does not cover conditions unrelated to your original water problems, nor issues caused by external factors such as plumbing failures, municipal supply changes, or damage occurring outside of our system. To make a claim under this guarantee, contact us within the 30-day period so we can schedule a re-test.
7.Equipment Warranty
Our systems carry manufacturer warranties on equipment, and we separately warrant our installation workmanship. The exact coverage period and terms vary by system and manufacturer and will be provided to you in writing with your purchase. Warranty claims require that the system has been maintained in accordance with our recommendations and has not been modified, misused, or damaged by external causes. Filter and media replacements are consumable items and are not covered beyond their stated service life.
8.Installation
Installation is performed by our technicians and is scheduled after your quote is approved. A typical whole-home install takes approximately half a day. We protect your home during installation and ensure the system is running before we leave. You may experience a brief water shutoff during connection, and we will notify you in advance so you can plan. You agree to provide safe, reasonable access to the installation area and to disclose any known plumbing or property conditions that could affect the work. If unforeseen conditions are discovered during installation that require additional work, we will pause, explain the situation, and provide a written change order before proceeding.
9.Cancellations & Refunds
You may cancel a scheduled free water test at any time at no cost — simply call us. For a system purchase, cancellation terms depend on the stage of your order. If installation has not yet begun, you may cancel and receive a refund of any deposit less reasonable, documented costs we have already incurred (such as ordered equipment or scheduling). Once installation is complete, refunds are governed by our 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee (Section 6). If you financed your purchase, cancellation or refund does not automatically cancel your financing obligation — you are responsible for coordinating with your lender, and any lender fees are between you and the lender.
10.Service Area
We serve Fresno and the greater Central Valley. If you are outside our standard service area, we will let you know whether we can assist, and any travel or service surcharge will be disclosed up front. The free water test and free RO offer are limited to our standard service area.
11.Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Generation H2O, its owners, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or equipment. Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific product or service at issue. We are not responsible for pre-existing plumbing conditions, water supply changes by your municipality or well, or damage caused by factors outside of our installed system and workmanship.
12.Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Generation H2O harmless from claims arising from your misrepresentation of property conditions, unauthorized modifications to our equipment, or failure to maintain the system as recommended.
13.Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with the updated date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14.Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts located in Fresno County, California, unless otherwise required by law.
